PolDo – der politische Donnerstag
In diesem langjährig bestehendem Veranstaltungsformat greifen wir aktuelle gesellschaftliche Themen mit lokalem Bezug auf.

Die aktuellen PolDo Themen findet ihr in der Veranstaltungsübersicht des Peter-Weiss-Hauses.
Wir möchten mit dem PolDo eine Plattform für Menschen und Initiativen schaffen, ihre Themen in der Öffentlichkeit zur Diskussion zu stellen. Daher sind Vorschläge bei uns immer willkommen. Meldet euch bei uns, wenn euch ein Thema bewegt und ihr einen Nachmittag oder Abend zu dem Thema füllen möchtet.
Die Gestaltung der Veranstaltungen orientiert sich am Popular-Education-Ansatz. Dabei werden die Wissensressourcen der Teilnehmenden aktiviert und der gegenseitige kommunikative Austausch gefördert. Die feste Struktur der Veranstaltungsreihe und dessen spezifischer Charakter versteht sich als ein Form von soziokultureller Stadtteilarbeit, die geeignet ist, gesellschaftspolitische Entwicklungen aufzugreifen und die politische Handlungsfähigkeit im Gemeinwesen zu steigern.

Slay it loud – Wir sehen gemeinsam den Film „Pride“
Im Rahmen der HanseQueer-Kulturwochen (HQKW) laden DGB und GEW herzlich zu einem gemeinsamen Filmabend ins Peter-Weiss-Haus ein! Dieser Abend wird mehr als nur Kino. Wir zeigen Pride – eine Geschichte über Widerstand, Solidarität und den Mut, gemeinsam für Gerechtigkeit einzustehen.
Gerade jetzt gilt: Rechte werden erkämpft und nicht geschenkt. Kommt vorbei, schaut mit uns den Film und lasst uns ins Gespräch kommen – laut, solidarisch und entschlossen.

Ausstellung „Território“ und Konzert
„Território“ is a series of photographs taken between 2012 and 2026 that document part of the daily life of an Indigenous territory reclaimed in Peruíbe, on the southern coast of São Paulo. The exhibition shows routines, practices, knowledge, and affections into a few images. These photos seek to give visibility to the existence and resistance of a tupi guarani people.
About.
In 1950, hundreds of Indigenous people were expelled from their land by a mining company. For 50 years, all the vegetation, soil, and life in this territory were devastated. In 2000, an elder, Dona Catarina, organized her family, returned to the territory where her ancestors lived, and confronted the mining company and the state. The threats and conflicts were constant. The existence of this people in this territory became synonymous of resistance.
In 2012, a group of young Indigenous people met us due to demonstrations and struggles in the neighboring city and invited us to participate in a process of building houses, schools, cultural centers, community kitchens, bathrooms, resistance and struggle in this territory. In 2016, after many struggles, the territory was recognized as Indigenous Land by the Brazilian state. During these years, with an old camera in hand, at the request of the families, we took these photos, something like proof of the existence of a people. The exhibition „Território“ presents some of these photos.
„Território“ speaks about the possibility of existing in the world in other ways, completely distant from the state and capitalism.
