The school social work of SoBi. Rostock aims at opening the school for social space / society / out-of-school providers. In general this means that cooperation with other pedagogical institutions, with partners of the social space from the school context is aspired.

Furthermore we understand the social space school as:

• Resource for solutions of social problem constellations
• as part of democratic public life
• as a place of diverse development opportunities
• as a place of diverse educational opportunities

To be able to implement this, a variety of methods and project approaches are required. The focus is on strengthening pedagogues, parents and pupils as well as educating teachers and parents in extracurricular and child-specific topics.
